Intro to Comics-Afternoon (Ages 13-17)

An event every week that begins at 12:30 pm on Saturday, repeating until February 23, 2019
This is a 4 week series that needs to be pre-registered prior to the first class.
Open to only 8 children at a time for better one on one guidance. Seating is first come, first serve.
Your child will learn from one of the best in his field! The Comic Series’ at The Art Hut are taught by the one and only talented Tom Smith, retired DC and Marvel Comics Artist/Colorist of 28 years. Tom will answer any questions the students may have regarding working in the world of comics, a future as an artist/colorist and advise them based on his own experiences and knowledge of the field.
This month’s series will focus on the importance of working as a team as they do in real life. Learn how many are normally on a team, what jobs they hold and why each position of the team is so important. Students will break up into “mock teams” and work together like in a real atmosphere. Students will work and socialize with other students in class to brainstorm and discuss ideas while hearing their teams ideas and taking everyone’s thoughts and creativity into consideration. They will create drawings, learn inking and color importance.
Any new student does not have the Starter Drawing Supplies Bag will be required to purchase one for an additional $35.00 charge. Supply bags include sketch pad, professional artist pencil set with eraser and sharpener, magnetic manikin, magic black ink, Art Hut Logo Shirt and string bag to carry all of your supplies.
